Undergraduate: Psychology, BS — John Carroll University
ExperienceHeya, I'm Chris, a Midwestern kid studying virus-y things. On occasion I'm also an amateur cat yodeler.
(The tl;dr of this all is that I'm good with statistics, web development, neuroscience, and virology.)
Statistics is my baby; it's what I know best and love. (Apparently I'm in the minority there!) I have completed coursework in both applied and mathematical statistics and have provided consulting on study design and data analysis and interpretation for academic researchers over the past couple years. I have also consulted as a statistician for a number of Silicon Valley start-ups, Cleveland-area non-profits, and for the Cleveland Clinic. And I've published research on model validation in sports statistics and edited a book on data preparation and visualization. So that's cool, I guess.
Beyond statistics I also offer tutoring in most aspects of Web design (HTML/CSS, PHP, SQL, Photoshop/graphic design). I've been working with all of these for the past 3-6 years each; maintain my own Web site; have done front-end design work for the Cleveland Clinic; and have done a good bit of freelance work (mostly print media design).
Give me a shout if you'd like any more info on my qualifications or samples of previous work (or check out my CV thingy at http://chriswetherill.me/CV). Thanks!
HobbiesI cat yodel. I read. I do computer things.
