Experience
I have taught everything from 9th Grade ELL World History to Social Foundations of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. I have finished my doctoral coursework at Pitt and am presently working on my dissertation. I presently teach German II-AP German at Northside High School, and was named a finalist for County Teacher of the Year in Spring 2016. I hold professional VA Certification in Social Studies 7-12 and German K-12, and am comfortable teaching all elements of reading and writing. I helped many students from other countries at Pittsburgh with graduate-level reading comprehension and academic writing. I have published academic articles and presented my research in STEM & Liberal Arts Education Policy in the US and Germany. I would like to give back to my community by tutoring students in their areas of need.
